There's a real sense of shock in the office at the moment - the man is irreplaceable, a true institution and one of the best advocates of unsigned bands around. Home Truths was Saturday mornings and those gravelly northern tones were much-loved by generations of radio listeners. He united radio audiences and will be sorely missed.
